Serve Safe, Drink Safe, Do the Right Thing
Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, Asheville, NC is currently experiencing a significant surge in tourism culture, especially craft beer tourism. Branded “Beer City, USA” in 2009, Asheville is home to more breweries than any other US city, per capita. With this welcome influx of tourism dollars come challenges for establishments and residents who desire to keep Asheville the safe and family-friendly city that attracted so many of us the first place. Asheville currently has the highest rate of DWI conviction in the state, and in recent years has seen a distinct rise in drug/alcohol facilitated sexual assault crimes (DFSA).
Lakota R. Denton, P.A. is proud to announce the Serve Safe, Drink Safe, Do the Right Thing campaign, to help remind Asheville’s visitors, residents and service industry staff to do their part to ensure that Asheville remains a safe place to live and visit. The project focuses on the importance of bars and restaurants efforts to ensure that they’re not serving patrons to the point of intoxication.
