Lakota is an Asheville-based personal injury lawyer that has assisted many clients in North Carolina who have been injured through no fault of their own, or due to someone else’s negligence. He is committed to helping people in his community, assisting them through the complex legal process, and fighting hard for their rights.
Lakota is a Cum Laude graduate of Western New England College of Law. After interning at Pellegrini Seeley Ryan and Blakesley in Massachusetts and the National Labor Relations Board in Hartford, Connecticut during Law School, Lakota joined the Minick Law Firm in Asheville, and in 2015 started Lakota R. Denton, P.A.
In 2014, he received the Top 40 under 40 award by the National Association of Trial Lawyers, as well as a preeminent 5.0 out of 5 stars by Martindale Hubbel, and is a member of North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, and the North Carolina Bar Association.
Lakota lives in West Asheville with his wife Jacqueline, and his sons Tayo and Rumi.
Jenny joined Lakota R. Denton P.A. in February 2015. She has over a decade of experience working in civil litigation and personal injury for plaintiff and defense attorneys. Jenny is a North Carolina certified paralegal and has obtained specialty certifications in Discovery, Trial Preparation, and Personal Injury (Auto Accidents). Jake joined our team following a 9 year career in health care in Western North Carolina. He brings to the firm his experience as a clinical nurse, marketing consultant, website administrator, and branding specialist. Jake handles our firms marketing, website, and SEO (search engine optimization), and also assists with reviewing medical documentation and personal injury casework.
